From 2017 new European Union rules, designed to cut energy use, were put in place to restrict the use of vacuum cleaners having a motor exceeding 900W. In addition, vacuum cleaners no longer carry A – G ratings for energy use, dust emission or noise; as well as cleaning performance on hard floors and carpets.

In fact, with vacuum cleaners with smaller motors, these fabrics ensure suction is maintained and that the final product meets new EU legislation. The retained air permeability and very high dust loading capacity can also offer good cost savings and help prevent final filter clogging.
