Don & Low Nonwovens

Established in 1987

With over 35 years of experience in nonwovens, Don & Low has become a leading manufacturer of high-performance nonwoven textiles and composites, produced to both national and international standards.

Equipped with advanced technology from Reifenhäuser, a global leader in spunbond line design, we operate multiple Reicofil production lines to convert polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) into a broad portfolio of spunbond and laminated products. These include high-tensile strength, isotropic, and bicomponent nonwovens. Our capabilities are further enhanced by an Oerlikon Neumag meltblown line, enabling the production of PP, PE, and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for specialised applications.

Our purpose-built nonwovens facility combines expertise across Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Product Development. Operating 24/7, it supports tailored customer requirements through a variety of secondary, value-adding processes — including lamination, ultrasonic bonding, roll-size modification, and printing.

Statistics

  • The entire nonwovens factory operates to BSI EN ISO 9001:2015
  • Quality management systems and testing of the finished products is carried out in accordance with EDANA test methods and approved global standards.
  • Secondary processes include: lamination, ultrasonic bonding, roll size changing, printing and recycling
  • Meltblown nonwovens can cater to applications such as acoustic installation, oil sorbents, medical wound dressings, apparel and air filtration
  • Nonwovens plant runs 24hrs a day, 7 days a week

At Don & Low, environmental responsibility and sustainability are embedded in our operations. Intelligent recycling systems — both in-process and post-process — are supported by purpose-built recovery and conversion technology, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal waste.

We are equally committed to our people. Continuous training and development are central to our culture, with health and safety at the heart of everything we do. Quality assurance is managed by a dedicated team that carries out ongoing testing, meeting the rigorous requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015.
